and then there was another…

Father’s Day weekend brought many changes in our home.  Miss Madison had been in Arkansas at her natural dad’s for three weeks, so I headed out Friday morning to fetch her, visit my dad for a few hours, then head back home.  She is heading on a church youth trip this morning, so we only had about 48 hours to spend together.  She will return to Arkansas for another three weeks, so I was glad to have her for the weekend.

The drive to her grandparents is about 8 hours for me.  Upon arrival we left to drive another few miles to see her newly acquired horse.  The Red Roan is just a baby really, but he’s hers…and he’s as sweet as he can be. He’s housed in Arkansas for now, the real question will be if she’s allowed to bring it home in the Fall. The short story is there is concern she will not be allowed to have her horse at her Alabama home.

Meanwhile,  it seems that my life is blessed in over abundance with animals….this weekend a dear friend who has owned the pet shop in my home town for over forty years let my daughter know that he had something special for us …

There’s a new definition of insanity at our home, 3 fluffs and 3 labs…

hold me!
