Company Girl Coffee 7.16.10
The past few weeks have been an incredibly rich collage of experiences. I’d like to say that there is this grand plan that I have, but unfortunately only God knows the blueprints on this one and I’m simply the clay that He keeps squashing into new vessels.
Les is still in Afghanistan. He is hot, tired, but he is doing well and he is missed terribly. We can Skype via chat every day or so and on the blessed days for a moment or two I can see him via video. The situation is grim there, prayers are needed.
In June MIss Bella came to our home. She is one bundle of joy and she keeps me laughing constantly. She has earned her traveling stripes, making over 4000 miles of travel via car with me since June 20.
The children are in Arkansas visiting their other family. Chaser spent a good bit of the summer home going to summer school to make up a credit he didn’t have when we moved (Christian school to public school transition) He has had a great summer and I’ve enjoyed the extra 1:1 time with him.
Madison has been enjoying the horse her stepmom and dad bought her in Arkansas. We’ve just rearranged to be able to find a space for him here when we find a place to board him. It’s going to be an interesting time! I love horses though, so we’ll enjoy the process!
Honey blessed us with 8 lab puppies yesterday. I am telling you when it rains it pours…but sure enough this is in my master bath as I type!
God’s been working on my head as usual…..letting go is a continual process and though a crow bar is sometimes needed, He’s giving me freedom each time He wins in the battle to trust Him more!
I became a Mac at home person. My MacBookPro is quite the learning curve after starting in the middle of a crunch project, but I am excited about how it makes everything better in my writing work!
It’s almost back to school time. Hard to believe I’ll have another Senior this year! I look so forward to this time of year, as a former teacher, fresh faces, desks, and new challenges excite me!
Have a great Friday and enjoy the day! We are Blessed!
xoxo
Sweetie
