Who is Sweetie?
Sweetie Berry is a small town girl who’s moved to the city. She has taught in inner cities, rural areas, public and university level schools from rural Arkansas to Anchorage, Alaska. She’s a certified Master teacher in six states in the fields of Special Education, Gifted Education, Behavior Disordered Education, English, Early Childhood Education, and Mathematics. Her Behavior Disordered experience has been especially helpful to prepare her for corporate business! She’s earned the use of trophy cars in direct sales and has facilitated clients to number one on Amazon in their subject area as authors. Her work ranges from creating curriculum for educational systems to think tank services as intellectual property for a software development group. She simply loves to solve problems and facilitate positive outcomes!
Sweetie Berry taught at the PK-12 school and university level for over two decades before hanging her own shingle as a Creative Strategist, Educational Consultant, and Wordsmith. As a mom, step mom, business owner, educator, home schooler, and sales trainer she is often told she is a “six fer”…a dynamic resource for marketing with experience in meaningful perspectives for product evaluations and launches. Sweetie fills many roles as a business consultant, but is most often invited to join product campaign launches as a strategic think tank identifying and meeting the needs of target audiences and clients in product innovation and marketing. She understands and translates product directives for all members of a corporate team, assisting with product development, product detailing, as well as wordsmith marketing and launch copy. Her positive high energy and easy to read communication style has her friends, clients and colleagues utilizing her services time and time again. Her passion for helping people reach their goals is evident in her daily life.
A blended family for eight years, Les and Sweetie believe their calling is to share resources that support restoration of today’s families one heart at a time. Les & Sweetie work with churches and organizations to facilitate new perceptions of how to work with today’s families. They offer ongoing mentoring programs for church and organizations working with families all over the nation. Their passion is facilitating inclusive perspectives and resourcing materials for non-traditional families and those who work with them. Sweetie loves to share with women’s groups speaking on the role of today’s women as Christian wives and tells her story of Growing Into Lovely…leaving the wicked stepmother image behind, as she encourages all women to embrace and intentionally choose to rear the family in their lives, whether natural or blended, and make their home an inclusive place to all their children’s family.
Sweetie is the bride of Les Berry Sr. Les currently is an administrator for the Defense Department branch
called D.C.M.A. He is a Program Integrator Manager with the Delta IV Rocket Systems that launch our U.S. Satellites. He is a civilian, formerly a Navy man. He has deployed to the war theatres of Kuwait and Iraq in the past four years for six months at a time. Currently in Afghanistan, Les and Sweetie are deeply committed to supporting our troops. Sweetie’s older brothers love to tease her that she and Les are so happily married because he voluntarily leaves the country for the war theatre for six months at a time. (Sweetie is not so sure he’s not simply escaping life with their four teenagers) Les has received two Secretary of Defense Medal for the Global War on Terrorism for his work in Iraq and Kuwait, the highest honor our government awards a civilian. Sweetie is simply smitten with her husband, and for good reason, he’s a man of integrity and he spoils her rotten!
Where you will not find Sweetie consistently is anywhere near the laundry room. The local tourist attraction known as Mt Washmore and its companion tourist site, the Dirty Dishes Mountain chain is ever growing and alive at her home. Sweetie’s more likely to be found in the kitchen with a passle of teenagers or neighbors…you can usually find her where ever the laughter is, sharing her latest adventures. She is easy to befriend for her constant adventures will help you realize you’re not the only one who makes mistakes and her friends love telling their own adventures while with her! While she loves organization and is known for detailing scope and sequence of business projects, product launches and media production, the truth is until laundry becomes a team sport, she’d prefer to continue to pretend someday it will launder itself!
